"dodgy' websites will keep you safe on the internet but unfortunately, that sort of
information is not very useful. Internet security (protecting both your computer and
your identity online) can, however, be demystified. This presentation focuses on
normal computer users, rather than “IT geeks,” and clearly explains security myths,
internet dos and don'ts, the evolution of computer threats, and much more. Join
presenter Norbert "Bob" Gostischa, as he simplifies, clarifies, and demystifies your
computer, making your internet experience a safer one.
This is a presentation not to be missed!
Our meetings are held at the Brentwood Public Library, typically the first Friday of every month. They are FREE and open to all. Our goal is to help end-users get the most out of their computers and current technology.
HISTORY: ICON PC ser Group began in 1990 when six dedicated people decided to get together and help one another understand and maximize the use of their computers. In over 20 years, it has grown to the Largest Computer and Tecnology Club on Long Island, with over 100 members ranging from West Hampton to Merrick, and sometimes beyond.
It is NOT limited to residents of any one area. All are welcome.
