What happens when Liberalism is applied in nature?

There is plenty of non-fiction material pointing out the destructive consequences of liberalism. Liberal In Nature, instead, uses a fictional approach to display how detrimental liberalism really is.

The book was written by author Garrett R. Hall, who is an attorney in the Spokane, Washington area. This is Mr. Hall's first book, though he has published poems, short stories and articles.

In this satirical novel, Andrew - a self-proclaimed liberal - leaves society after a crushing political defeat.  He settles in a beautiful valley and strives to become one with nature.

In time, Andrew notices that nature is not as perfect as he originally thought.  He sees squirrels that are fatter than others, a bear who bullies other animals, a mistreated and misunderstood wolf, trees that don’t get as much sunlight as others and much more.

Is nature fair?  Is there redistribution of wealth/food in the wilderness?  Can you create a welfare state amongst animals?  Are there winners and losers in the animal kingdom?  Why do some trees get more sunlight than others?  What happens when some animals become too dominant?

Andrew takes it upon himself to bring fairness and equality to nature.  Applying his liberal ideology, Andrew develops systems and strategies for making nature a better place. Andrew's actions produce drastically different consequences than he intended and he is left to wonder what happened.
