Rising Sun Pools and Make-A-Wish Foundation grant wish for Mebane family

July 29, 2011 - PRLog -- Rising Sun Pools and Spas is working with its pool industry partners and the Make-A-Wish Foundation to grant the wish of a North Carolina family and their six-year-old son. Arnie Chapel was diagnosed in December 2010 with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a type of cancer that affects white blood cells. When given the opportunity to make a wish, Arnie asked for a pool that he could share with his family; a request that Rising Sun Pools and Spas was able to fulfill.

“I was so touched by this family and their son,” says Tara Onthank, Vice President of Rising Sun. “He is such an amazingly strong little boy and his parents desire to make this happen was overwhelming. I couldn’t imagine not helping.”

On Monday 7/25 Rising Sun installed a 24’ FOX Ultimate Pool at the Chapel family home in Mebane. They were joined by several of their industry partners in granting this wish. Hayward Pool Products, Fox Pools, Estes Backhoe Service, Harte Electric, Capital City Curb and Gutter, South Central Pool Distributors and Ready Mix are all participating in the project. Of these partners, Onthank says “This would not be possible without the help of some great individuals and companies.”
