Logue was inspired to record "The Split Sessions" after touring Europe to promote "The Pretty EP." Fans were hungry for an album that was more stripped down and showcased the natural richness of Logue's voice and songwriting. On her return flight to the states, Logue sketched out a plan to record "The Split Sessions," which would include a mix of old material and new songs from the road. However, all would be recorded using only live instruments, achieving a live, organic, natural feel.
She reached out to her fans through Kickstarter and successfully funded her album campaign by 123%. In the fall, Logue recorded "The Split Sessions" on a plantation in Virginia. The bucolic setting, far away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, provided the perfect backdrop for this collection of songs.
Logue will officially release 'The Split Sessions" on September 22, 2012. Until then, however, she is leaking two free tracks for fans who are curious about her new musical direction. To download the music, go to www.facebook.com/
