July 28, 2011 - PRLog -- Soon the first school bell will ring and you may be thinking of getting in one last trip. North Dallas Honey Company says, “Pack a punch with delicious homemade snacks for those last minute getaways.” Designing your own snacks not only reduces the sugar and preservative intake, they taste better and are better for you.

Remember that while honey is naturally good, it also provides health benefits. A carbohydrate, honey provides strength and energy and can reduce muscle fatigue in athletes. Honey boosts the immune system and improves the digestive system with its antioxidant and anti-bacterial properties.

Adults, try this cleansing tonic every morning: Before breakfast, mix a spoonful of honey and lemon juice from half a lemon into a cup of warm water and drink it.

To get your children off to a great start, North Dallas Honey offers these simple recipes for some tasty treats that kids (and adults) will love. Take them on trips, have them at home, and even include them when packing school lunches.
