Industry Experts Will Present "The Building Blocks of Sustainability" At The Women In Green Forum

July 28, 2011 - PRLog -- The 2011 Women In Green Forum, scheduled for August 30-31 in Santa Monica, California, will feature educational panels, dynamic keynote presentations and interactive workshops that center upon the 2011 conference theme: The Building Blocks of Sustainability. Presentations will progress through the following areas:

Block 1: Technology & Design
Block 2: Strategic Alliances
Block 3: Implementation
Block 4: Engagement
Block 5: Education

Building Block 1, Technology & Design, will bring together representatives from IBM and Intel to investigate the role of technology in the widespread adoption of sustainable processes. Speakers will also discuss the necessity of incorporating sustainability into the initial design of a product or service. Presentations will then shift to Building Block 2, Strategic Alliances. Expert panelists from organizations including Richard Branson’s Carbon War Room will share their insights on attaining capital and forming the financial infrastructure that must be in place for a sustainable endeavor to succeed.  

Following the alignment of design, technology, and strategic partnerships, a sustainable project may then be implemented. The Forum will thereby transition to Building Block 3, Implementation, which will bring together dynamic speakers representing organizations ranging from the Clinton Climate Initiative to Cisco Systems. Discussions will explore how an organization or individual can translate intentions for a better world into action.

Featuring a panel of executives from Microsoft, Tetra Pak and MTV Networks, Building Block 4 - Engagement - will reveal cutting edge strategies for creating a sustainable company culture. The Forum will then conclude by moving to Building Block 5, Education.  Industry leaders will discuss how businesses and organizations can educate the mainstream market and how today’s leaders can equip future generations with the academic and decision-making tools necessary to face environmental challenges ahead.
