Enriching the Mind, Body & Spirit - Michael-Ann Russell JCC Fall Programming to begin

July 28, 2011 - PRLog -- Fall/Winter Enrichment Programming at the Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center/Sanford L. Ziff Campus, 18900 NE 25th Avenue, North Miami Beach, FL is scheduled to begin Monday, August 29, with a multitude of classes, programs, and activities for all ages ranging from infants to Senior Adults.

The Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center is known for its outstanding curriculum and this year is no exception.  “This coming year presents itself with exciting opportunities for our MAR-JCC, we remain most fortunate for the support that we receive from the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and the United Way of Miami-Dade County that is critical to our overall operation and ability to service our community” mentioned Gary Bomzer, Executive Director.

The George J. and Lila M. Berlin Community Bridge, connecting the MAR-JCC campus with the Temple Sinai campus, continues to serve as a gateway between both campuses, to better service a growing constituency and community. Additional new classes such as Fencing, Zumba®, All Girls Sports, Cheerleading, Extreme Tennis, and more have been added to the Enrichment curriculum to provide a wider array of choices for children from infants to teens, and Senior Adult Programming will continue to flourish with more activities, classes, and exciting field trips.  

“Our Health and Fitness Center is quickly becoming the pinnacle of wellness for our center, as well as for our community, with new, cutting edge equipment, group exercise classes such as Spinning and TRX, Personal Training, and Nutrition-based classes, workshops, and demonstrations,” explains Marc Scanlan, MAR-JCC Fitness Director. “For us, this new season represents the ongoing efforts and hard work of a dedicated staff with the support and input of various program committees with whom they work, to provide the best services, opportunities, spiritual growth, and social interaction and connections for our members” mentioned David Surowitz, Assistant Executive Director for the MAR-JCC.
