Version 2.0 of OAMP Webform and Survey Modules for OpenCms 8 available at alkacon.com

July 28, 2011 - PRLog -- Version 2.0 of the OAMP Webform Module, which is available now for download from alkacon.com, extends an OpenCms 8 installation with the capability to easily create highly configurable online input forms without knowledge of HTML. A Webform could be added to any page in OpenCms 8 just by Drag & Drop. With the ADE Editor all changes are made directly on your website.

With the added PostgreSQL and MS SQL support in version 2.0, the Webform Module now runs on the most popular database applications.

Since version 2.0 HTML formatting is done with the popular java template engine StringTemplate. The model-view separation makes the Webform Module more flexible and maintainable. Changes to HTML generation get displayed without restarting your servlet container.

Refining the front end report, an optional automatic height calculation has been implemented.

The export of database entries to a CSV export file has been improved with version 2.0. If numbers should be shown unchanged e.g. in Microsoft Excel, they can be formatted as string.

Moreover there is version 2.0 of the OAMP Survey Module. With the flexible survey definition, based on the Alkacon OAMP Webform Module, an OpenCms content manager can create a questionnaire for his company's market research with a few clicks.

The automatically generated survey integrates seamlessly in the individual corporate site template.

A report page shows the analysis of all given answers to a survey, with colored graphical bars or even every single given answer of a user in a detail page.

Both modules are available with full source code and documentation.

All Alkacon OAMP modules are released as full Open Source under the GNU GPL version 3. The source code of the modules is freely available at https://github.com/alkacon/alkacon-oamp.
