Monster Trucks Converge on Carlisle for Truck Nationals

July 27, 2011 - PRLog -- Trucks!  They’re associated with the delivery of essential freight, the “country” lifestyle, playing in the mud, crushing cars and so much more.  At the Carlisle Truck Nationals, August 5-7 at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds, monster trucks will be one of the many features on display for men, women and children of all ages.  As part of a three- day celebration of all things truck, the Truck Nationals will feature at least five different monster trucks and will offer fans an up-close and personal experience with the trucks and their drivers.  In action at the 2011 event will be War Wizard, Megasauras and Virginia Giant.

War Wizard is a Monster Jam competition and aims to crush cars, kick up some dust and entertain the fans; young and old. As part of War Wizard’s trip to Carlisle, fans can get up-close and personal by having photos taken, getting an autograph from the driver and more.

Virginia Giant is back by popular demand and this southern truck will bring its car crushing attitude north. Kids love the truck, fathers dream of driving the truck and mothers want ear plugs! No matter your age bracket or genetic makeup, Virginia Giant at Carlisle is a must experience event.  Much like the War Wizard, Virginia Giant will be available for photographs, driver autographs and more.  Get even more up-close and personal with all of the drivers and trucks with our exclusive V.I.P. Monster Pack.  This family-friendly package allows for special access, reserved seating and souvenirs.  

Also in action, but in a much softer manner, will be a monster truck designated to give the fans the ride of a lifetime.  It takes someone special to drive a monster truck but at Carlisle, the thousands in attendance will be able to climb up in the bed of one and take a casually aggressive ride around the grounds.   It’s basically a car crushing, jacked up truck-riding hayride!

In addition to the trucks that crush cars, the Truck Nationals will offer a machine that not only crushes them, but also chews them up, spits them out and breathes fire.  Megasaurus dropped the jaws of kids and adults alike during the 2010 Carlisle Truck Nationals and the big metal machine is back again for 2011.

With two trucks onsite to crush cars, one to eat them and another to give fans a ride, it’s fitting that the Truck Nationals also provide a pair of monster trucks to admire.  War Wizard, Virginia Giant and Megasauras will have their time in the spotlight at Carlisle, but they’ll have some company as the Lil’ Squirt and Silly Willy monster trucks will be on display.  Neither of these rides is scheduled to be in action, but the kids will love their Fire Engine Red paint schemes while parents enjoy the throwback nature of the body styles.

Experiencing monster trucks at Carlisle is just one part of the Truck Nationals.  With annual crowd in the tens of thousands, haul in to one of the largest truck events geared towards the entire family. This show is a must-attend with over 2,000 trucks of all shapes and sizes. You’ll see everything from restored classics, lifted or lowered 2- and 4-wheel drives to chromed-out big rigs. The entire family will enjoy monster truck shows and rides, the Kids at Carlisle activity area, and shopping in the swap meet, truck corral and Manufacturers Midway. The pulse-pounding fun continues with a truck tug-o-war contest, burnouts and so much more.
