Port Authority's Comerford named "Rising Star" of FPRA Southwest Florida Chapter

PRLog (Press Release) - Jul. 26, 2011 - Erin Comerford, public affairs coordinator with the Lee County Port Authority, has earned the Rising Star award, a distinction given annually by the Southwest Florida Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA).

Each year, the Rising Star award recognizes an up-and-coming leader in the Southwest Florida chapter (http://www.fpraswfl.org).  Winners show enthusiasm and passion for the profession, and make a positive difference through their service to chapter events, career pursuits, and in the local community.

Comerford has been an FPRA member since 2007, and since then has held many positions in the chapter, including sponsorship chair, website chair and as a member of the Image Awards team.  In 2010, she joined the chapter’s board of directors as treasurer.

Established in 1938, FPRA (http://www.fpra.org) is the oldest public relations organization in the country.
