The managed video services offering will provide an exceptional videoconferencing solution that is reliable, secure, consistent and built on a network optimized specifically for video communications. Irrespective of the complexity of the customer’s business needs - whether they require just on-demand reservation-less bridging services or a completely end-to-end managed video service, HB Communications will be able to provide seamless video communications solutions regardless of the type of video system, network provider or type of connection.

The managed video services portfolio includes:

1.   Virtual Presence: a comprehensive end-to-end managed video collaboration service that enables organizations to enjoy the full benefits of their video communication technology. There is increased reliability, flexibility, scalability and cost savings. Additionally, HB can deploy this as a service in the Cloud or as a Customer-Hosted managed service. HB can manage endpoint services including: Global 24x7 video and audio help desk support, operator services scheduling, remote reboot, address book management, interworking with managed telepresence endpoints.

2.   iView - Powered by Vidyo: a business-quality face-to-face video collaboration right from your desktop or laptop. This is a mobile, software-based, easy-to-use and cost-effective video collaboration service which allows you all of the same content access and features of standard video collaboration, event when you’re away from the office. Some of the included services are call recording, playback and export, on-demand reservation-less and self launch service, and live video and audio help desk services available 24x7.

3.   Virtual Rooms: a virtual meeting space that enables multiple users at different locations to connect over video anytime, anywhere. It is an on-demand reservation-less video service. Virtual Rooms is unique since it allows video participants on different networks to connect into the ‘virtual room’. HB takes the responsibility for the complex technical configurations that allow the different communication platforms to connect together. Two major benefits of Virtual Room are that starting a meeting in a Virtual Room is very easy and that you are paying a fixed price for HB services, so you don’t pay for what you don’t really use. HB pre-configures the rooms based on your requirement; you can choose from multiple room layouts and between continuous presence and voice activation.

Thompson notes that iView solidifies HB’s new partnership with Vidyo by offering a fully managed cloud based mobile solution using Vidyo as the platform. Virtual Rooms will provide bridging as a service for those customers not ready to make the leap to hosting their own MCU.
