Mark Group fuel efficient vehicle
Believed to be one of the first commercial fleets of this size to be built in this design, the distinctive shape of the lorries will communicate how Mark Group is practicing what it preaches as its installation teams travel across the length and breadth of the country.
According to studies carried out by the vehicle body builder, the design of the cab, coupled with the curved shape of the vehicle roof and appropriate driver training, will all contribute to a significant reduction in overall fuel consumption.

Every day we help homeowners, schools and businesses improve the energy efficiency of the buildings they live and work in - to do that however, even operating from local distribution centres, we cover thousands of miles.
“We have taken a number of steps over the past few years to reduce our fuel consumption and as new energy saving technologies are developed, we are keen to see how they could be applied to our business. If these initial curved roof design lorries prove successful, then we hope to see more across our fleet, nationwide.”
The addition of the low emission aerodynamic fleet is Mark Group’s third example of its commitment to saving energy across its logistics network; an ongoing programme of specialist driver training and changing its 3.5 ton vehicles to those with bodies made from recycled plastic bottles, has already delivered returns for the business.
