Young Cancer Patients to Rip Runway for the “Fashion Has Heart” Charity Fashion Show

July 26, 2011 - PRLog -- Black Stiletto Public Relations, Mahogany Communications and Barbara Guzman Productions, organizers of the “Fashion Has Heart” Charity Fashion Show and Exhibition, are gearing up for an extravagant benefit honoring the “Have A Heart Children’s Cancer Society” and “Kim’s Kause” Thursday, July 28 at HK (Hell’s Kitchen) Lounge from 6:00PM-11:00PM.

Hosted by Jabari Gray, guest-star on NBC’s Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Fringe, Gossip Girl, Rescue Me, White Collar, and Law & Order; and theater actor Sanyika Gray, the goal for the evening is to raise funds for  two amazing charities. Beneficiaries include: “Have A Heart Children’s Cancer Society,” a 501(c) 3 charity on a mission to help alleviate a families financial burden and to improve the quality of life for a child battling cancer; and “Kim’s Kause,” a charitable initiative benefiting Kimberly Niedzielski, a New Jersey Native and loving wife to a husband of 13 years and mother to 2 children, diagnosed with cancer during the most turbulent times of her life, will receive funds to help pay for cancer treatments and provide financial assistance to her family.

The fashion show portion of the evening will present designs by Jeriza Peralta, Co-owner of Children’s Fashion label Kana; YaaSerwaah by Akuoku; Natalie Woods by Camilla Luke; and multiple bridal designers from Gabriella New York Bridal Salon. Two children cancer patients and 10 New York City metro area kids will model for Kana. Patrice Mueller, along with her colleagues from Soon Beauty Lab, will donate hair styling services.

An evening filled with fashion and fun, New York City entertainers are set to rock the walls of HK Lounge. Guests will enjoy performances by: singer-songwriter, B. Madison, an Italian-American R&B Pop Artist; Pasquelina, a New Jersey singer-songwriter influenced by hip hop, pop and dance tunes; and Zoe Indigo, a singer, songwriter and acoustic guitarist from Detroit, Michigan. DJ Pause Cut, one of New York City’s hottest disc jockey’s, plans to turn HK Lounge on its head for the “Fashion Has Heart” Charity Fashion Show and Exhibition with his ear-popping club mixes.

Fashion show-goers have the opportunity to participate in the “50/50 Raffle”, bid on trips to the Caribbean’s donated by Elite Island Resort and a dinner for two at Acappella Restaurant in NYC. Miss Diaspora Models 2010, Chastelyn Rodriguez, will present the raffle items.  

Guest will have the opportunity to sip signature HK “heart-tini”s with beverages donated by GuS (Grown Up Soda) and Carpe Diem Kombucha.

VIP gift bag products have been donated by Carpe Diem Kombucha, GuS beverages, RelaxZen, Purdy Little Things, Reb’l fleur by Rhianna, Canvas Pop, glassybaby, CD’s by performing artist B. Madison and Pasquelina, Enchantment by Charlotte Abel e-book download coupon and more.  Décor for the evening has been donated by Glassybaby.
