For places to go and things to do, the list of Ko Samui's attractions is immensely: waterfalls, snake farms, gardens, Buddhist temples, an aquarium and a zoo. There is also the opportunity to explore the surrounding islands.
Ang Thong National Park, as in Alex Garland's The Beach, has a variety of wildlife, with formidable rock formations, secret caves and hidden lagoons. The Na Muang Waterfall is the most scenic.
Other islands include Ko Tao, or "Turtle Island", covering an area of 21 square kilometres. It is almost exclusively centered around scuba diving and snorkelling with hiking and rock climbing also catered for. Visitors can get to Ko Tao by a ferry service from Ko Samui. It takes around 2 hours to get there. The infamous Ko Pha-ngan is best known for its full moon parties at Haad Rin Beach.
For discounted accommodation, the very best resorts and villas are listed on the site and bookings are made via the R24 portal and is associated with the Ko Chang Island website.
