Follow on Google News | BICSI Announce their European Member of the Year 2011Referred to by BICSI as Miss BICSI, Mel Green, Operations Manager at CNet Training, has been announced as the official BICSI European Member of the Year.
By: Sarah Parks Mel has worked for telecommunications training provider, CNet Training, for 14 years on the sales and operational side; she knows the BICSI process inside-out and often acts as a confidant for BICSI delegates, providing them with advice on preparation for studying in addition to seeing them through what can be quite demanding times. Over the years she has also been responsible for working with the delegates to collate all the necessary paperwork, allowing them to attend the training and ensure they have completed everything to officially gain the qualification once they have successfully passed. Rita Recalcati, BICSI European Region Director describes Mel as, “A fountain of knowledge on all matters BICSI and someone BICSI can rely on to convey the right information accurately, guiding individuals through the process of obtaining their credential, ensuring all prospective candidates provide all the necessary paperwork, and she sets about helping those candidates to prepare themselves for the monumental task ahead. Plus, in the unfortunate event that someone does not pass their BICSI exam, Mel is the first to offer a shoulder to cry on and a sympathetic guide through the resit process. She also plays a huge role in organising volunteers to proctor BICSI exams throughout Europe; since 1999 she has never failed to provide a proctor. How does she do it? She really is an unsung hero and her acknowledgement is well deserved.” Mel Green adds, “I am absolutely delighted to have won this fantastic award competing against everyone else in Europe. Being involved in BICSI for all these years, I almost feel like one of the BICSI family. I get a real sense of satisfaction out of helping the BICSI, and all CNet Training delegates, work towards gaining their sought after qualifications. They all put so much hard work into their training and have a real motivation to succeed; the least I can do is manage the operational side for them and ensure their training and qualification processes run smoothly.” CNet Training provide training for the entire telecommunications industry and most recently have designed and created entire suites for programmes for the new and exciting Data Centre arena, these are proving popular across the world, extending Mel’s operational role to truly global capacity.
