The idea for Sublime Fitness came from a creative, risk-taking, entrepreneur who rarely yields to hurdles. The President of Sublime, Meg Hernandez, worked for years in both the education and fitness fields, seamlessly uniting them together. Her inspiration began with a goal of getting kids interested in fitness and away from sedentary and apathetic lifestyles. Among those efforts, she organized a free Junior Running Club, which trained 43 fourth grade runners to finish a local 5K race. Some of her students placed in the top three for their age/gender division and have continued running. On the other end of the age spectrum, she motivated teachers and parents to get up and move by offering Boot Camp and Zumba classes. These experiences started her wheels spinning. With a master’s degree in management, several certifications in fitness, and years of running a classroom, could she succeed as a studio owner? Could she design a hip and welcoming studio for everybody, young and “older,” and everyone in between? Enter…
The formula for the studio is straightforward. Meg will offer uncomplicated payment options, accessible classes, approachable instructors, and high quality services. After working in other studios and clubs, Meg learned many lessons. The clients need to feel important, especially if they’re new to fitness. The system needs to be clear. The manager needs to be visible and open to feedback. And, most importantly, the studio needs to offer services to all family members. This uncomplicated and practical approach to fitness will quickly create buzz, and buzz is what it’s all about.
Sublime will offer the hottest and most popular classes like Turbo Kick, Zumba, Boxing, and Belly Dance. Meg will wear several hats, as is customary, but has the support of excellent instructors and a dedicated, patient family.
Sublime Fitness Studio will be located in the beautifully renovated Medway Mills. An Open House will be held on Saturday, October 1st at 5pm.
