PRLog - Jul. 25, 2011 - SEATTLE -- SEATTLE, Wash. – July 25, 2011: PetHub, Inc., a new website focused on a complete solution for keeping pets safe, has been selected to participate in this year’s HollyWOOF gift bag by Distinctive Assets, the premiere celebrity gifting firm. Such distinguished pet owners as Oprah Winfrey, Drew Barrymore, Cesar Milan, Charlize Theron, Betty White, Paris Hilton, Justin Timberlake, Alicia Silverstone, Rachael Ray, Kathy Griffin, and 15 others of Hollywood’s pet-owning elite are receiving PetHub’s products today.

PetHub’s contribution to the bounty of doggy awesomeness includes a new “scruffTag collar” recently showcased on Good Morning America. The collars are personalized for each celebrity with their pet’s name and a one-of-a-kind scannable QR code that can be linked to a free PetHub.com account. “One huge benefit that people love is that we not only protect their pets, we also guard their privacy,” said Tom Arnold, President of PetHub, Inc. “If owners don’t want their contact information shown when the tag is scanned, our website acts as a go-between. We also make it easy to list an unlimited number of alternate contacts, including pet sitters, doggie daycares, and vets,” he added.

The Seattle start-up publicly launched its website in March of this year after a huge success with its Seattle-focused release in November 2010. “After filing our patent in October we tested the waters by offering 3,000 free tags. They were gone in 2 days after CNET wrote a story about us,” said Arnold. “People are very excited about our unique idea and how we’re helping anyone with an iPhone, Android, or other ‘smartphone’ be a First Responder when it comes to rescuing a lost pet,” concluded Arnold.
