Creative Writing Ideas-Topics to Get You Started

One of the biggest obstacles to overcoming a bad case of writer’s block is getting the first few words down. I know, I am experiencing it at this moment. Or maybe that was the moment before writing that last sentence?

July 22, 2011 - PRLog -- When someone hands you a topic to write about, that’s an easy one. Maybe you do a little research on the topic you need to write about, and then you just start writing. When you are the one that needs to develop the topic, do the research, and do all the writing, the ante is a little higher. Those that write for a living struggle with this day in and day out, and it is a workplace hazard that they are familiar with. But how many people that will read this piece actually write each and every day and depend upon words for their daily bread? Few I would say.

This now leaves us with the rest of us, those of “us” that have a task that is not our normal 8 to 5. You need an article for a blog, or maybe you need to do a school research paper. Maybe you need website content, like me. These are very, very different writing tasks, but at the same time they are oh so similar in one respect. You, the “writer”, must have an idea, a writing topic, a creative writing idea. This creative writing idea will be the spark that gets you started.

I have a story. Several weeks ago I ran across a website. I even have a link to them on my website. They write articles. If you need a blog article they can do it. If you need website content, they can provide that also. They also write just about any type of school research paper that you might need. For a very small price they will take the burden of writing off your hands. I decided to do business with them. I provided them with my desired topic, and gave some specific requirements. Within 24 hours I had an article written especially for me. This saved me a lot of work, and I did not have to do the leg work researching the topic, much less creating the article. The web article I requested was delivered on time, and of the desired length. I cannot complain, right? That’s right, I CAN NOT complain. I got exactly what I asked for. Someone else wrote my article, in their own words.

So, what do I have to complain about? I got what I ordered, and now I can publish the article on multiple sites. This is what millions of website owners do to create articles specifically designed to drive traffic to their sites. My complaint is “I didn’t write this and this article does not contain words from my heart!!” I have a serious case of “if it isn’t mine, it isn’t mine”.

My encouragement to you…DIY! Yes, do it yourself if you value your own creative writing spirit. There are many creative writing ideas available to assist you regardless of your mission, whether it is a blog topic, website content, school research papers, church bulletins, work assignments, or that you just want to write. Words are powerful when you know what to write about!
