Growing Through Arts™ Launches First Line of Children’s Books

Chicago, IL,  – Growing Through Arts™, a company that creates and markets educational children’s books and toys, has created its first line of children’s books called The Ballet Series.

Growing Through Arts™ products are infused with the philosophy that participating in the arts can have a dynamic impact on children’s careers, educations, and social lives. Founded by Aleksandra Efimova, owner of the Russian Pointe brand of ballet pointe shoes, the Growing Through Arts™ system builds on and develops, creativity and imagination; confidence, leadership, and character strength; memory, abstract thinking, and a wide range of pre-academic skills; discipline and focus; arts vocabulary and much more!

The Ballet Series includes three storybooks based on classical ballets: The Nutcracker Ballet by Aleksandra℠, The Cinderella Ballet by Aleksandra℠, and The Sleeping Beauty Ballet by Aleksandra℠. Each beautifully illustrated storybook tells a familiar tale, but adds a fresh, modern twist: There are questions throughout the book that parents can ask their children to teach them valuable moral lessons.

Designed for children ages 2 to 6, each book has a glossary of ballet terms that will excite children about exploring ballet and teach them words that are used in ballet class.
The books are now available for pre-order on growingthrougharts.com for $19.95 each or $54.95 for a gift set of all three. The first 100 people to place an order will have their book autographed by Ms. Efimova. Books are available for purchase online at www.growingthrougharts.com and at participating retail stores in the Chicagoland area.

The Ballet Series also features three companion Practice & Play Books, which include word puzzles, matching games, and other activities that help children expand their learning from the storybooks and enhance pre-academic skills.

To complete The Ballet Series, parents can purchase The Ballet Series Alphabet Set, where each letter is illustrated to depict a ballet vocabulary word, and three Stage Scene Play Sets that come with bendable characters that children can stick to the stage to re-create scenes from the ballets.

The Music Series! The Music Series will feature three storybooks: The Peter and the Wolf Symphony by Aleksandra℠, The Snow Maiden Opera by Aleksandra℠, and Twist, A Musical by Aleksandra℠. Each will come with companion Practice & Play books, games, and toys.

The Music Series books will be available for purchase in October, 2011.
