PRLog (Press Release) - Jul. 21, 2011 - The housing of the RX5200 consists of a 2U rack mount chassis made of heavy-duty, cold-rolled steel. The Front panel comes with 2 x USB 2.0 interface ports and LEDS indicator for power / HD / LAN. Front panel controls include on/off switch and one system reset button. It has a compact sized chassis that is only 14.9" in depth. Because the RX5200 is stackable, it is able to save a lot of space when the time comes to add more computers to the server. A rack mounting kit comes with standard 19-inch rack mount mounting holes for standard 19-inch rack cabinet. It is optional for 20" rack slide rail.
The RX5200 has more unique features because short depth rackmount computers that range from 14” to 17” in depth fit in portable rack cabinets, which provides protection for the RX5200, added drives, and overall system protection. This supports it from difficult environment damages or even typical household accidents. Rackmount servers contain expansion slots for adding more memory, graphics capabilities, and support for special devices. Four PCI / PCI-E expansion slots are available for the PCI-32 /PCI-E card to be installed. The chassis comes with storage devices that include one slim type optical open drive bay, one 3.5" hidden drive bay and one 5.25" open drive bay. The multi drive bay feature provides high efficiency and performance, depending on what it is used for. Standard configuration includes an optical storage device and a 160GB SATA hard drive, but other configurations are available. The embedded system board supports an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, onboard video, gigabit ethernet and audio. 4 x low profile expansion slots are available with a standard PS/2 type ATX 300W 110/220VAC power supply that is located on the rear of chassis.
