July 21, 2011 - PRLog -- This RX6446B has a steady sturdy design that will meet the harshest and most rigorously demanding qualifications of the computer world. The RX6446B is a 4U high chassis that is housed in heavy duty, cold rolled steel. It has a steel and shatter resistant glass, with a front lockable door to protect drives. Front ears with standard 19 inch rackmount mounting holes allow front mounting to any standard 19 inch rack. Optional system slides allow rear mounting as well to racks from 20 to 26 inches in depth.
The front panel controls include an on/off switch, one PS/2, two USB ports and LEDS to monitor power and primary hard drive. The front also has vents for the 120mm (78CFM) filtered intake cooling fan with filters that are removable and washable. These filtrated ventilation fans are included to prevent overheating, instability, malfunction and damage and to help keep a longer life span to the unit.
The rear has a removable I/O plate which controls the inputs and outputs of the server and a standard 14-slot passive backplane that includes 4 PCI, 8 ISA and 2 SBC slots. Standard I/Os include 1 PS/2 (cable provided for keyboard and mouse), 2 serial ATA ports, 1 parallel port, 4 USB 2.0 ports, 2 RJ-45 ports, 15-pin VGA and line-in, speaker-out and microphone jacks.

The chassis comes with storage devices that include three open 5.25" drive bays and one open and one hidden 3.5" drive bays. Standard configuration includes a DVD-RW and a 500GB SATA hard drive, but other configurations are available like up to 1TD of hard drive space.  A PICMG 1.0 standard single board computer with on board audio, video, dual 10/100/1000BT ethernet and SATA RAID controller is embedded on the system board and a standard configuration includes Dual core processor and 1GB memory. Standard PS/2 size 300W ATX and optional 440W redundant power supplies are available to provide unit with better power consumption.
