Loving Yourself Thin Class to Focus on Healing Overeating, Overweight, and Negative Body Image

Vivation USA will present a 10-week workshop August 2-October 4, in Los Angeles, focusing on healing the constant sense of deprivation and craving that continuous dieting causes in chronic dieters.

PRLog - Jul. 21, 2011 - LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- “Constant restrictive eating creates a sense of deprivation that actually CAUSES overeating and overweight,” says Patricia Bacall, author of Loving Yourself Thin, and originator of the workshop. “Despite your best intentions for staying on your diet, you find yourself eating the ‘forbidden foods’ that you promised yourself you would never eat.”

“Many people think that food is the cause of their overeating problems and subsequently try to solve their body issues with dieting,” Bacall asserts, “but it is the relationship with food that is the cause of our problems, not the food itself. In my own experience with overeating, I had been telling myself ‘I can't have that…’ for so long, that the forbidden foods were all I wanted–simply because I had forbidden myself to eat them. What I found ultimately was that my weight did not have anything to do with what I was or wasn’t eating.”
In the 10-week workshop, participants will learn why diets never work in the long run for weight loss, how emotions masquerade as hunger and how to tell the difference, and how to get back in touch with body sensations—eating when hungry and stopping when full.
“There is so much fear, anxiety and distraction about food, eating and body image in our society,” Bacall continues, “we need to love ourselves the way we are, then begin to make any desired changes from a positive standpoint. Loving Yourself Thin allows a person to be happy with themselves, and resolve unpleasant emotions which are very often the cause of overeating.”
In addition to learning about what causes overeating and negtative body image, participants learn a powerful method of  emotional resolution called Vivation. Based on proven yogic practices of breathing and awareness, Vivation is a gentle, loving and powerful way to permanently heal any negative emotion, trauma or experience. Because Vivation focuses on feelings instead of thoughts, its results are immediate and permanent.

Vivation is a powerful feelings-level, self-development technique that resolves suppressed emotional negativity, resulting in a happier, more creative, satisfying life. It creates an overall sense of personal well-being, enabling a person to be happier and more successful by reducing internal distractions and emotional turmoil. With Vivation, existing internal resources are used in a new way, and a person can easily access and heal negativity stemming from any area of their life.
