Popular NYC Fashion Blogger to Bring Awareness to Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome

July 20, 2011 - PRLog -- New York City‘s finest philanthropists, medical professionals, fashionistas, beautynistas, lifestyle and fashion bloggers are invited to the debut of 24 Blogazine’s first cover release party, the “Pure Case of Sassiness” Benefit for The Jewish Hospital's Cholesterol and Metabolism Center on Saturday, August 13 from 6:00PM-9:00PM at White Rabbit located at 145 E. Houston St., New York, NY 10002.

Created by Vanessa Flowers, Founder/Editor of 24Blogazine, the purpose of the “Pure Case of Sassiness” cover release party and charity benefit is to raise awareness about PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) and $5,000 for The Jewish Hospital Cholesterol and Metabolism Center that specializes in the treatment of PCOS. Considered the most common hormonal disorder in the United States that affects 10% of the female population, Flowers invited fashion companies and DJ Flipstar to participate in this event which aims to teach women and young girls to recognize symptoms and seek professional help.

PCOS is a personal issue to event creator Vanessa Flowers as she was diagnosed with the disease in late 2010. The Cholesterol and Metabolism Center at the Jewish Hospital is one of few medical facilities that diagnoses and treats PCOS. Though the event is free to RSVP, guests are encouraged to purchase recycled denim cuffs (designed by BFFs Kimberly Brady and Stephanie Hroncic) and crop tops (designed by Bella Harris of Vintage Lollipops and manufactured by LD Vintage) for $20-$24. Shop Glamarous, Coco and Breezy and Copper Etiquette have signed on to donate items for gift bags. Over 200 guests are expected to support 24 Blogazine and The Jewish Hospital in their efforts to raise $5,000.


In line with the theory that fundraising can be fun, the evening kicks-off with turntable tunes from DJ Flipstar, New York City’s hottest DJ, shopping, cocktails, networking and amazing treats provided by Kissing Cake LLC. Kissing Cake has been known for sponsoring charity events in NYC with their unique and delicious treats. During the height of the event, Flowers will unveil the August 24 Blogazine cover featuring Bella Harris and the ladies of KB. LuSH.


“Pure Case of Sassiness” is sponsored by KB.
