July 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Anyone else cried during the movie Black Beauty? I know I did. Something about horses or really just animals period in a touching dramatic situation always seems to release my inner waterworks. (This also happened while watching Old Yeller and Homeward Bound 1 & 2 I’m shame to admit)

I first became acquainted with the play “War Horse” during the 2011 Tony Awards. It ended up taking home a big win for best play along with 4 other wins. I later went online to do some research on it and immediately after reading the description and watching the trailer for the play I cried.

War Horse is the heartbreaking story of a young boy’s love for his horse. The story takes place during the outbreak of WW1 and is based off of Michael Morpurgo’s children book of the same name. After the horse is sold into the military, the young boy, too young to go to war himself, decides to set off on a journey to return the horse back home.

Sounds pretty tear-jerking right? Well don’t use all of the Kleenex yet.

Director Steven Spielberg has decided to bring the tale to the big screen.  It is intended for release towards the end of December. This makes it 100% worse for me.  I’m pretty sure I’ll won’t be able to see half the movie because of the tears clouding my view but I am excited.

Would you like to see War Horse on stage before it hits the movie theaters? Than Head to http://www.charged.fm/blog/post/481/war-horse-takes-the-b... for the best tickets to all the shows.
