PRLog - July 19, 2011 - WILMINGTON, Del. -- Meet and mingle with other animal lovers who support the Delaware Humane Association at Playtime at DHA, a series of "doggy happy hours" hosted by and taking place at DHA on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from May through September and one last fling in early October, weather permitting. Bring your dogs on a leash, but the fun begins as they run freely with other dogs in the fenced pasture. Snacks will be available for all two and four-legged guests. Please come join in the frivolities, and visit some of DHA's adoptable pets while you're here!

Founded in 1957, the Delaware Humane Association (DHA) is Delaware’s first no kill animal shelter and adoption center. We are committed to providing for the needs of homeless dogs and cats in our community. Serving over 5,000 companion animals annually through direct intervention and many more through advocacy, we continue to promote the humane values of protection, care, and compassion for all living things. We envision a future where all people and their pets live healthy, happy and long lives together.
Our mission is to act as a voice for companion animals and to enhance their welfare by providing temporary shelter, low cost spay/neuter services, vaccination clinics, humane education programs, and adoption/placement resources. We rely on the support of the community in the form of volunteers, donations, bequests, and fundraising events.
