Supporting Future Entreprenuers with Scholarship Award

July 19, 2011 - PRLog -- PHOENIX, Ariz. –Factors Southwest has selected Zachary Hamilton as the recipient of the 2011 Entrepreneurial Scholarship. Hamilton, a senior at Arizona State University was presented his scholarship by Robyn Barrett, owner and managing member of Factors Southwest at the company’s corporate office in Phoenix on Wednesday, July 13.

“There was an impressive pool of applicants this year, but Zach really embodies that entrepreneurial spirit we are looking for,” stated Barrett. “We work with entrepreneurs every day, and it is this kind of drive that will eventually help our economy recover and create much needed jobs.”

Hamilton is currently studying entrepreneurship at Arizona State University, and the $1,500 award will help to pay his tuition expenses, while he furthers entrepreneurial endeavors.

Hamilton founded his first company, Orchards Lawn, at age of 12, which he sold in 2008 when he headed to the Southwest for college. At ASU, he then secured an Entrepreneur Advantage Project (EAP) grant and founded DevilWash. He has grown the environmentally friendly commercial pressure washing business with the help of the Edson Student Entrepreneur Initiative.

“I am grateful to have the scholarship from Factors Southwest to help offset my expenses for school and keep my loans to a minimum,” explained Hamilton. “Now I can concentrate on building my businesses and graduating.”

Barrett and Factors Southwest are proud to present Hamilton with the Entrepreneurial Scholarship for his achievements. This is the second year the scholarship has been awarded.
