Tracey Evans graduates as one of UK's top 40 Registered Life Planners with prestigious Kinder Inst.

July 16, 2011 - PRLog -- An 18 month period of intensive study, examinations and ongoing mentoring has resulted in Tracey Evans the Associate Partner at Ashley Law Crawley Independent Financial Advisers becoming one of just 40 people in the UK to be granted the prestigious accreditation of a qualified Kinder Institute Registered Life Planner.  There are currently only nine women in the UK that have achieved this coveted status.

Evans says, "Research proves that most financial advisers listen to a client for just 82 seconds before interrupting with their sales brochures and graphs.  Fundamentally clients are interested in themselves, where their lives are going. They want to be listened to.  The reality is that most financial adviser’s place insufficient value on the power of really listening and so their recommendations can fall short of what’s really needed. The qualification I have gained through the Kinder Institute of Life Planning has enabled me to take the service I deliver to my clients to a higher level because active listening is at the heart of it.  I have always believed that financial planning is not about selling financial products.  It's about giving the right financial advice through actively listening and then asking considered open questions to encourage a client to think about what they would really like to achieve in their life. We can then structure their finances to support their vision."

Evans is now moving to the next stage - Chartered Financial Planner accreditation and is on target to attain this in 2012.

"There are five distinct phases to qualified life planning - exploration; vision; obstacles; knowledge and execution.  Most financial advisers are comfortable with the knowledge and execution phase but these are just two stages of the journey.  The financial industry will be turned on its head in 2013 when it’s predicted that possibly up 40% of current financial advisers will cease to practice because they cannot meet the stringent requirements of the new standards.  Although I know that with my qualifications and experience I am in the top 10% of Independent Financial Advisers is in the UK, it's important to me on a personal and professional level that I continue to grow and learn and so accomplish more for my clients," she concludes.
