July 15, 2011 - PRLog -- Rib Lake, WI – Medford Motors is bringing Ford Motor Company’s innovative Drive One 4 UR School program to the Rib Lake community in an effort to raise up to $6,000 for Rib Lake High School. For every person who test-drives a Ford vehicle at the Rib Lake Ice Age Days on August 13, Medford Motors and Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to Rib Lake High School.  The funds will go towards the Booster Club.

“The Drive One 4 UR School event has been really successful for us in the past and we hope to continue that momentum,” said Beaner of Medford Motors. “Rib Lake High School students and parents will benefit from Ford’s innovative safety technologies, which is one of the reasons it is important to continue to host these events.” The event, which will be held from 12:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., will feature the Ford Focus.

Since the start of Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School program in 2007, more than 275,000 test-drives at more than 1,500 events have generated over $5 million in donations for high schools nationwide.

In addition to raising much-needed revenue for high school extracurricular activities, the program gives participants the chance to experience Ford Motor Company’s exciting new vehicles and leading safety technologies, including:

•   MyKey™, a system that allows parents to limit a vehicle’s top speed and audio volume to encourage safe driving behavior in teens;
•   SYNC®, the fully integrated, in-vehicle voice-activated communications and entertainment system, updated with a “Do Not Disturb” button to block incoming calls and text messages and improved text message read-back capabilities so drivers can keep their eyes on the road and hands on the wheel;
•   Blind Spot Information System (BLIS™) with cross traffic alert, which uses radar to check the blind spot and helps notify the driver of approaching traffic when backing out of a parking spot; and,
•   Active Park Assist, a technology that helps drivers position the vehicle for parallel parking and then steer it into a parking spot without touching the steering wheel.
•   SmartGauge™ with EcoGuide is a unique instrument cluster designed to give hybrid owners a more connected driving experience by coaching them to further maximize the fuel efficiency of their hybrid vehicle.

The 2012 Ford Focus, the company’s most significant global nameplate, delivers smart features, spirited performance and 40 mpg fuel economy packaged in modern, European-inspired design finishes. The all-new Focus Titanium model promises to appeal to drivers shifting from larger, premium vehicles looking for sporty handling; while the high-performance Focus ST with turbocharged, direct-injected EcoBoost™ power will get enthusiasts' hearts racing.

To participate, please visit Rib Lake Ice Age Days between 12:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. on August 13.

Participants must be 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license. There is a limit of one test-drive per household.
