Combe Employees Revamp the Camp for Upcoming Season

July 15, 2011 - PRLog -- YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, NY: Combe Inc employees pitched in to help refurbish the local Camp Combe YMCA in Putnam Valley in preparation for the upcoming summer programs for children. Chris Combe, President of Combe Inc, gave his employees the day off on Tuesday, May 24th to help paint, organize, build, refurbish, and clean the camp in order to prepare for the upcoming season.

Camp Combe YMCA serves the central and northern Westchester area and is located at 684 Peekskill Hollow Road in Putnam Valley. Camp Combe YMCA will host roughly 800 kids this summer through their summer camp program at six camp locations. Additionally, Camp Combe YMCA provides childcare for pre-schoolers, after school programs, and leadership training and college preparation programs for older youths. The camp was named after Ivan Combe, the founder of Combe Inc, who purchased the property for the YMCA. Combe Inc products include Just for Men hair products and Sea Bond, to name a few.

Joy Ovadek, Director of Administration for Combe, was involved with organizing the lunch for the clean up. “Not only was it a day filled with lots of hard work, laughter, and fun, but it was also a great day for the Combe Inc employees to shine while pitching in to make a big difference for the kids this summer. I’d also like to give a special shout-out to Panera Bread’s Yorktown Heights Café who prepared a delicious catered lunch for the employees who volunteered,” states Ovadek.
