July 15, 2011 - PRLog -- Madrid, Spain will host World Youth Day from August 15-21, 2011.  For Catholics, it is one of the world’s most exciting events and, this time, it is even more exciting since it is being held in one of the world’s most beautiful and vibrant cities.

In planning the pilgrimage, the team wished to visit significant holy sites and places of pilgrimage.  In particular they wish to incorporate places which are significant in the history and the life of the Church in New Zealand.

The estimated cost for the pilgrimage is $6600 NZ excluding spending money. This estimated cost includes air travel, accommodation (twin share), WYD week fee, all coach travel and some meals. It does not include personal spending money, insurance outside of the WYD week, entrance to some sites and gratuities. The estimated cost is subject to the number of pilgrims traveling, the exchange rate, airline bookings and deposit. The WYD week fee includes all meals, simple accommodation, insurance for that week and entrance to all WYD events.
