Miss South Carolina International 2011, Chelsea Rae Gregory Prepares for National Pageant

July 14, 2011 - PRLog -- Chelsea Rae Gregory, Miss South Carolina International 2011 is spending every hour over the next 10 days getting ready to hit the stage in Chicago for the Miss International Pageant!  Since being crowned in March, Chelsea has spent over 190 hours promoting her platform, Re-Focus:  ADHD Awareness by doing 1 to 2 appearances a week, meeting with various charitable organizations where she can make a difference and promoting her cause for CHADD by use of social media.

Chelsea has a Facebook page as well as a Facebook Fan Page, Miss South Carolina International 2011, a website, www.misssouthcarolinainternational.com, and a Twitter account where she Tweets regularly.  "In today's network saavy environment, you have to use every type of social media you can to get your message out there," says Chelsea.  "You also need to be visable in your community and since I just moved to South Carolina 5 years ago, it has been a lot of work to make my presence known but I am getting somewhere.  I have had to send lots and lots of emails to hospitals, community associations and organizations to let them know I am here."  

And it has worked.  Chelsea Rae Gregory has done speaking engagements as Miss South Carolina International 2011  for groups such as the Lake Wylie Master Mind Group, the Mental Health Association's Girl's Voice Conference, and  will be speaking at the National CHADD Conference in Orlando, Florida in November.

The national pageant will consist of an intervierw, modeling an evening gown, a fun fashion, and a fitness outfit during the preliminaries on Friday night, July 29.  Then on Saturday night, the top 10 girls will do it all over again with an added question on stage where they will be able to promote their platform for 30 seconds.   From there, the top five will be given another chance to impress the judges before finding out who will be Miss International 2011.

"Miss International is a mix between Miss USA's glamour and  Miss America's intelligence and community service.  It's a nice mix of the two and is a lot of hard work," Chelsea says.  She has been working out with a personal trainer, practicing her interviewing and modeling skills and doing various self grooming activities like taking care of hair, make up and wardrobe.  

Miss International 2011 will travel nationally to promote her platform.  The queen will be announced on Saturday, July 30th before an audience at the North Shore Performing Arts Center in Skokie, Illinois.
