Crossbow, Crossbows, and more Crossbows

July 14, 2011 - PRLog -- It has never been a better time to be a crossbow hunter.  If your state already doesn’t allow crossbows in one season or another, it most probably soon will.  With growth of crossbow hunting due to revised hunting regulations, we are also experiencing growth in the crossbow industry.  Every year it seems there are more and more crossbow manufacturers popping up.  Some are crossbow specific manufactures, while others are long time vertical bow manufactures looking to capitalize on the rapidly growing crossbow market.  In either case, it is a win, win situation for the crossbow hunter.

Today we now have more choices in crossbows than ever before.  Giving us options in technology as simple as recurve limbed crossbows, and as advanced as reverse draw technology crossbows. It seems that speed sells, and it is obvious in today’s crossbows with some manufactures breaking the 400 fps mark.  
And as a result of the ever-growing crossbow industry, we are seeing a wider spectrum in pricing of these bows.  It’s not uncommon to find crossbows starting in the $200.00 price range and increasing up to the $2,000.00 range.

Even non-crossbow related manufacturers are taking advantage of the crossbow explosion.  There are more choices in crossbow arrows, sights, and even crossbow specific broadheads and targets.  All of this is positive not only for crossbow hunters, but for the growth of the sport as well.  I can only imagine were the crossbow industry and crossbow technology will be in the coming years.  One thing is for sure though.  The crossbow is quickly becoming an accepted weapon of choice in many archery seasons nation wide.  With the increasing demand for the crossbow, the crossbow industry will continue to grow and bring us new and exciting features.  I’m glad to be a part of it.
