Leeds based Sports and Hobbies Website Clubbz.com celebrates the sign up of it's 30,000th club!
Having launched 2 years ago in response to the governments goal of introducing 1 million people to becoming more active, Clubbz.com has now established itself as the go-to place for finding over 400 different interests in your local area from Archeology to Zumba.
The latest version of the Clubbz.com website launched this week has seen it's popularity soar amongst clubs and groups in the UK. In the current financial climate, many clubs are looking for cost effective ways to promote their activities and recruit much needed new members.
Founder Rob Yorke says “We believe we're offering a valuable free service to help promote clubs as well as provide them with tools to ensure the success of their group. We know from our members feedback that we're introducing hundreds of people each day to new groups in their area.”
In less than a week over 6,000 new events and 10,000 photos have been published along with a further 1,500 clubs joining up, illustrating the need for a centralised website of all sports and hobby groups in the UK.
The site now attracts over 3 million visitors a year, many of whom are finding new and interesting activities they never knew existed... right on their doorstep!
