Keynote speaker Rich O'Donnell will address the demise of the Florida State Department of Community Affairs and how that will result in less state oversight in land use changes, increasing the responsibility of local government over such decisions. Mr. O’Donnell will also discuss recent changes in the Federal Emergency Management Agency (“FEMA”) flood zones and how it impacts Northwest Cape Coral. The meeting is open to the public and local residents are urged to attend and get involved in the organization. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for neighbors to meet neighbors.
The NWNA was formed by area residents to provide an open forum for discussion of issues of general importance to members. NWNA membership is open to all residents and property owners north of Pine Island Road and west of El Dorado Blvd. For more information about NWNA, please visit http://www.nwcape.com or email nwna@nwcape.com.
