SEO- Mandate Changes: Mr Van Horne went on to say in the announcement “SeoPros will always hold sacred its role as consumer advocate and Industry Reputation watchdog. SeoPros will be making slight adjustments to the content and services being offered in an effort to become a Career and Professional development resource.” SeoPros believes the future of the trade lies in recruiting and SEO training and with few if any accredited courses there are many offerings that could be termed dubious at best. There is no place to go to separate the wheat from the chafe as far as training and for initial placement in the industry. The planned additions to SeoPros services are: • Adding a job board • Stepping up reviews and discovery of courses and “certifications” • Adding community elements • Developing intern programs between “endorsed courses” and Member Agencies • Press Release Service for Search Engine Marketing Industry As new services and content are added, the SeoPros site will evolve into a professional development and recruitment resource. Initial changes entail: RFPgenerator Change: The SeoPros RFPgenerator generates a Request For Proposal based on information about your site and services the consumer believes they require. The RFPgenerator is being modified so that all submissions will be contacted by a SeoPros Rep and given the RFP in PDF format. SeoPros will now assign an account person to assist in the process and answer questions. Additions to SEO Training Endorsement Program: SEO Copywriting Certification has been added to the page of endorsed courses on Seopros.org. The course was developed by Heather Lloyd-Martin, who has been teaching SEO copywriting techniques since the late 1990s. The Organization has previously endorsed both Link Liberation and Search Engine College. All endorsements are given after extensive review and actual participation in the courses by professionals capable of assessing SEO content and value of information. “Heather Lloyd-Martin has done a great job of providing a nimble curriculum that is closely in touch with the ebb and flow of search engine optimization in 2011.
