Revinetix Announces RevOS 3.5 to Enhance Customer Experience

July 13, 2011 - PRLog -- Revinetix, a leader in disk backup and disaster recovery cloud solutions, today announced version 3.5 of its RevOS software, providing customers with increased archiving capacity, improved performance and an enhanced dashboard for monitoring appliance operations.  

The latest upgrade supports all major operating systems and schedules automated backups down to the desktop level for every machine connected to a network - even those connected through a VPN (Virtual Private Network).

The upgraded dashboard delivers real-time status of backup appliance operations, providing IT staff with critical information simply displayed in charts, gauges, and tables to help eliminate guesswork. Information is presented visually to quickly indicate where action needs to be taken.

The upgrade also includes enhancements to RevOS LiveBMR™ (Live Bare Metal Backup and Restore). Windows clients can be backed up while operating and in use. Additionally, improved active directory search in Exchange Mailbox increases overall performance in lookups within the backup system.

Also new in this latest release is support for certified 3TB archive drives to further increase archiving capacities. RevOS monitors and queues alerts if disk devices are approaching capacity.
