July 13, 2011 - PRLog -- Raleigh, NC (July 13, 2011) – The city of Columbus, Ohio has gone-live on Emergency Technologies, Inc. (ETI) Visual Fire, a Fire Records Management System (Fire RMS). On June 5, 2011 the Columbus Division of Fire began live operations on the Visual Fire software, which provides responders with access to critical data for promoting the safety of fire personnel and the citizens they protect.

This opportunity is part of a larger contract through ETI’s strategic business partner, Intergraph Corp., the leading global provider of public safety and security incident management software that facilitates faster emergency response and interoperability between agencies and jurisdictions to save lives and protect property.

The Visual Fire solution is a suite of modules that includes fire incident reporting, mobile field reporting, Equipment Inventory, Personnel, Schedule Viewer, Master Indices, Audit Viewer, and Assignment Manager, along with several additional modules that will provide the Columbus Division of Fire with modern technology to increase operational efficiency throughout the organization.  The ETI solution will also seamlessly integrate with Intergraph’s Computer-aided Dispatch (CAD) system, which was also implemented at the Columbus Department of Public Safety Communications Center, as well as the Columbus Division of Police and Division of Fire and EMS personnel.

“This successful implementation is a culmination of a lot of time and effort by Columbus Division of Fire and City personnel, ETI staff, and Intergraph’s team and demonstrates our commitment to delivering world-class solutions to meet the needs of our customers.” said Kyle Breischaft, president and chief executive officer of Emergency Technologies, Inc. He continued, “Accomplishments like this will continue to fuel the growth of ETI and our domination of the medium to large fire department market.”

Columbus, Ohio, the capital and largest city in the state, has a population of more than 791,800. The Columbus Division of Fire has 32 fire stations covering over 240 square miles, and employs approximately 1,600 personnel.
