Mr. Transmission has been apart of the Decatur area for numerous years. This year marked an important year for Scott Hester when he took over management and ownership of the location.
The service repair center specializes in the repair and installation of transmission systems and drive train components.

Prior to franchising, Scott was an Electronic Technician in the US Navy for eight years. His father, Lowell Hester, also a Mr. Transmission franchisee, advised him to utilize his electronic knowledge on the new electronic controlled transmissions. Scott took his dad’s advice with the notion of wanting to see his first child grow up and not be out at sea. With the experience in the Navy, running his father’s shop for nine years and previously managing the shop he now owns, he knew it was his time to own his own business.
Scott has resided in Snellville for over six years. With the help of his wife Cher, who has begun to help and learn the business, they’re goal is to create a higher standard of customer service and technical excellence, by helping customers drive more safely and economically. Scott noted that, “Being a part of a national chain, covered by nationwide warranties, offers reliable and trustworthy services to the local community, which help ease consumer’s minds.”
