Business award success for Solarlec

July 12, 2011 - PRLog -- Burnley solar photovoltaic company Solarlec is celebrating after scooping a prestigious business award.

The solar PV http://www.solarlec.com installer company was named small business of the year at last night’s Burnley Business and Innovation Awards 2011.

Set up in 2009, they design and install solar photovoltaic panel systems for domestic and commercial use.

The company has just announced its most successful month in business, selling more than 1438 panels worth over £1.1 million.

The 1438 solar panels sold will produce total energy bill savings of up to £13,970 in the first year, as well as payments of at least £122,402 through the government’s clean energy cash back scheme, which pays homeowners to generate their own renewable energy.

Solarlec director Ged Rowbottom said: “This has been an incredible year for us so far and being recognised at the Business and Innovation Awards is the greatest testimony to our hard work – we’re proud to be part of Burnley’s thriving economy.
