The event comes after a pair of successful DAM conferences Createasphere hosted in Los Angeles and New York, and will be designed to help digital asset managers and content creators streamline processes and increase the effectiveness of workflow, metadata, storage, and digital preservation across their enterprises. Speakers at the event will all be from firms in the Chicago area, so those in attendance will have opportunity to connect with and learn from area professionals.
“At Widen, we’re committed to helping everyone in the market for DAM systems make the most informed decision possible, regardless of whether that’s a decision to go with Widen,” said Jake Athey, Widen Marketing Manager. “We’re delighted to be sponsoring this event, as it’s a way for organizations to understand the key areas of digital asset management and find the best DAM fit for their business’ needs.”
Widen Enterprises will also be offering free copies of a new white paper titled “I know what you didn’t do last summer, and other reasons to invest in digital asset management systems.”
The day’s events will include a keynote address by Dan McGraw, President and Chief Digital Strategist of Seven Dials Media, Inc., followed by the following seminars:
• The Digital Asset Management Roadmap - What You Must Know Before You Begin To Put Your Assets in Order — presented by Dan McGraw and Alex Grossman, CEO of Active Storage.
• Connecting the Dots on Metadata and Search with Controlled Vocabulary — presented by photographer and photo metadata consultant David Riecks.
• Rights Management — presented by Jim Sippel, Executive in Charge of Video Production at Willow Creek Community Church.
"The DAM space is dynamic and growing across a broad spectrum of industries. This is a vibrant community. We see a growing need for expert viewpoints for DAM solutions and the technologies in transition. All of us at Createasphere are excited to bring these educational events to Chicago,” said Mary Yurkovic, Createasphere’
“We are also delighted to work with the industry’s leading team at Widen, who bring such a deep level of expertise and experience to our attendees."
The day will be capped off by a networking event called CONNECT Live, which will feature a presentation by Charlie Gray, Manager of CMS at Motorola/Corporate Marketing. Gray will offer a presentation on “Marketing, Digital Asset Management and the Digital Supply Chain”.
“At Motorola we mange over 30,000 digital assets used in over 40 countries by more then 2,000 users. Ensuring the proper use of all these assets could not be done without the use of a Digital Asset Management system,” said Gray. Motorola is a nine-year user of Widen’s SaaS DAM system.
Admission to the CONNECT Live event is free. Admission to the keynote address is included in the $99 price of admission to any of the three seminars. Registration for all of the day’s events costs $249.
