WHAT:
WORKFORCE CENTRAL FLORIDA UNIVERSITY, a service from WORKFORCE CENTRAL FLORIDA (WCF), will host a seminar titled, “The 'E' in Email Stands for Evidence.”  The August workshop is presented by Jackson Lewis LLP.

More and more employment law cases are being decided today on the basis of who said what to whom in electronic writings of all kinds, especially email.  Text messages, instant messages, FaceBook posts, Tweets, LinkedIn messages, Internet browsing histories and even Google searches (remember the Casey Anthony "chloroform" search?) also can become important evidence that can hurt or help an employer.  This session will provide some practical pointers on what you should know and do to protect your organization in light of the hot new field of "Electronic Discovery."

WHEN:
Wednesday, August 17, 2011, 7:45 a.m.

WHERE:
WORKFORCE CENTRAL FLORIDA Administrative Office
707 Mendham Blvd., Suite 250
Orlando, FL 32825

PRESENTER:
Ralph Colby Losey,  Jackson Lewis
Ralph Losey is a partner of Jackson Lewis LLP, where he serves as National e-Discovery Counsel.  Ralph is also an adjunct professor at the University of Florida College of Law and is the author of four books on electronic discovery published by West Thomson and the ABA and numerous legal articles. Ralph is also the producer of an online training course in e-discovery.  Ralph has been in private practice since 1980 and has limited his work to e-discovery since 2006.
