July 11, 2011 - PRLog -- DETROIT, M.I. – Buick Regal MI vehicles were rated along with dozens of other vehicles by consumers to determine the ‘Best’ of 21 categories for coupes, convertibles, sedans, wagons, SUVs, minivan/vans, trucks and hybrids. Edmunds.com offers a list of winners as determined and rated by consumers.
General Motors owners should be excited to know the 2011 Buick Regal took top scoring in the Best Sedan between $20,000 and $30,000 while the Chevrolet Volt was named Best Hybrid according to top consumer reviews complied by Edmunds.com:
“The Volt has attracted a number of new buyers who have previously owned luxury vehicles or those who hadn't considered a GM vehicle in several years. Owners have previously had a BMW 5 Series and a Mercedes Benz S-Class, and one reader went as far as to say that he enjoyed his Volt better than his Ferrari.”
Although the Chevrolet Volt has been shown to be a plug-in hybrid, Edmunds.com does not have a category for that specific type of vehicle, but with the “overwhelmingly positive” feedback, Edmunds.com added the Volt to the hybrid category as the best representation of consumer reviews.
There were very few complaints about the Chevrolet Volt such as not enough rear legroom and the front chin spoiler being too low, but nothing that would affect the overall positive light surrounding the Volt. Some reviews included being thrilled to only fill the tank one or two times a month while enjoying other features such as the “high-tech feel, quiet ride, European-style handling and the relatively seamless transition between electric propulsion and the engine's engagement.”
Buick Regal MI owners may also be excited to hear their 2011 Buick Regal models have taken the top spot in its category. One owner told Edmunds.com that “it reminds me a lot of my BMW, but it is cheaper and a lot better equipped, even for the base model.”
Most positive reviews included remarks about loving the styling, comfort, quality and quietness of the interior. Most reviewed Buick Regal MI vehicles were purchased with the standard 2.4L inline-4 engine, and most owners were pleased with the performance with one saying “this car delivers good all-around power,” adding “you certainly can get a speeding ticket.” One of the few complaints was the lack of an interior trunk release.
The other Detroit Three automakers took top spots in the following:
•   Large Light-Duty Truck: 2011 Dodge Ram 1500
•   Large Heavy-Duty Truck: 2011 Ford F-250 Super Duty
Last year, Ford Motor Corp had topped the list with the most named vehicles, but this year Audi took the most ranked with three vehicles.
