PRLog (Press Release) - Jul. 22, 2011 - All students are enjoying time spent outdoors each day, as well as time indoors for more reflective work and some special programs.

Pam Newitt from Nature by the Yard came to visit the SummerQuest Primary program, which includes children from age three to six.  She brought small creatures from around the world for the children to explore and showed where the creatures were from using a large laminated world map.  Some of the students' favorites included a praying mantis or "Walking Stick" from Indonesia, a turtle from Texas, a snake from California (which they were given the option of touching), a hissing cockroach from Madagascar, and a tarantula from Chile.  Pam also had fox's fur for the children to feel as she explained the difference between a red and grey fox.  The visit concluded with students exploring the school gardens to find their own tiny creatures.
