July 8, 2011 - PRLog -- Entrepreneur and fashion designer virtually opens her doors with little or no cost; it’s not only about who you know but also about your circle of support.  Ms. LeSueur decided to take the plunge after being laid off   in 2010 and not being able to immediately find work. What did she really have to lose at this point? Why not her?  With the money she had saved, she decided to launch TLesueur a clothing design label which provides distinctive high end clothing to women.  The idea behind the label is to let her customers experience diverse cultures and the richness of history through her designs and informational tidbits found on the hang tag.
Starting a   business is difficult enough but being a “soloprenuer” can be even more daunting because you’re doing everything from design and production to finance and marketing; which is why when there appeared to be an interested backer Ms. LeSueur took the opportunity.  Unfortunately, it turned out to be a false start. At this point in time frustrated and disappointed; there was a decision to make. Time, effort, and money had been put into this collection and nothing had worked out.  Was she going to continue or bail out? Decision made: go forward.
With a revised plan the first piece was produced. “I was immediately inspired, proud, and very happy all at the same time”, says Ms. LeSueur. “Even though it was just one piece it was the beginning of my dreams becoming a reality.”  To generate some buzz she had decided to do a trunk show at one of the local boutiques.  However, in working out the details cost began to rise and the boutique began to seem dis-interested. During this whole experience she had been talking with family and friends seeking creative ideas, etc.   In speaking with one friend about plans for the trunk show and some the obstacles, he suggested making a commercial to run on a website.  “I had planned on launching and selling online and oh yeah he was a video editor.”  The more they talked the more the commercial began to take shape.  Not too long after that conversation Ms. LeSueur received a phone call from that same friend to say he had someone willing to shoot the commercial at no cost.  This was not just some ordinary Joe, but a coworker of his that she had met previously and one who shot video professionally.  “It was at this point that I remembered that I have a wonderful group of people around me with diverse talents, who are willing to help me; never underestimate your relationships”.  After this point everything began to fall into place from the location to models mainly due to the people in Ms. LeSueur's network. The result of this project can be seen at http://www.tlesueur.com/#/about/.  This introductory collection is only the beginning; Ms. LeSueur’s goal is to grow the collection with each season and to challenge herself to set her collections apart through the mix of old and new construction techniques and the fusion of cultures.
