July 8, 2011 - PRLog -- Roses of Winter, a novel set in World War 2 Scotland is now available as an ebook at Amazon.com.

The author, Murdo Morrison, a native of Glasgow, Scotland, drew on his family's experiences in World War 2 as inspiration for the book.  Thoroughly researched, Roses of Winter places fictional characters in real historical events to tell the story of World War 2 in a new and exciting way.

While filled with action, Roses of Winter is not a conventional war adventure story. The book explores the effects of the war on the personal lives and interior spaces of the main characters. Some find personal growth and wisdom, others that they cannot escape their essential natures.

The heart of the book focuses on four strong, independent-minded women, who are determined to bring their families through the war. They worry about their men away at war but find that, even at home, there is no safe place.

Roses of Winter is also available as an audiobook at Podiobooks.com.
