July 8, 2011 - PRLog -- The ePublishing Consortium is the collaborative group of eAuthors and ePublishers taking control of functions previously controlled predominately by legacy publishing companies.  The Consortium has compiled many functions and make it available for each author.  The ePublishing Consortium allows the individual authors to improve their book quality, market it successfully and drive additional traffic to their own Amazon book pages.

The ePublishing Consortium is a site for authors and publishers for electronic distribution.   There are numerous ways an eAuthor can market their book, themselves and even for multiple books.  Each area promotes into search engines.  Using a strategy of “Tags” similar to the function used by Amazon, an eAuthor’s book page can be highly promoted and the readers find themselves a click away from purchasing the book.

The site functionality is specifically for eAuthors and ePublishers to promote, market, and increase sales for their books.  All of the site functionality is free to members.  Membership is free.

“There is no doubt we are witnessing a major evolution in the publishing industry.  The marketing trends of book stores sales being down and traditional publishing firms are keenly trying to keep up with the evolution to eReaders.

There are tens of thousands of eAuthors coming online each month.  They are enthusiastic to market and sell their products but did not have a centralized tool to accomplish this before.  The ePublishing Consortium provides those tools to each member .  We knew we were on to something when three offers were made to purchase the site while it was still in development.

The efforts of eAuthors promoting their own books are turning the epublishing evolution into a revolution.”  Patrick Donnell - Founder, epublishingconsortium.com
