Follow on Google News | Oxygen Research Foundation To Host Ken Locklear Memorial Golf TournamentCharity event to honor a great man, who through his efforts helped many patients improve their “Quality of Life” through Hyperbaric Medicine
By: Sharon Phillips Ken’s totally unselfish goal was starting to be realized when he founded the Oxygen Research Foundation (ORF), a non-for-profit organization that was established to not only better educate and change the healthcare system, but to increase the quality of life and longevity for cancer patients; to reduce amputations in the rapidly increasing diabetic population; to reduce or eliminate need for bypass surgery; to increase neuro-rehabilitation in such areas as acute and chronic stroke, to treat cerebral palsy and traumatic brain injury, in addition to the treatment of limitless other conditions that may possibly benefit from increased oxygen levels. Although Ken’s life was cut short before all of his goals could be realized, ORF remains committed to continuing his wonderful crusade and in both his honor and memory, a golf tournament has been organized and proceeds will be going to his foundation. Date: Thursday, August 4th Timetable: Breakfast will be served at 8:00am Tee Off Times: 4 ball from 9:00am Green Fees: $75.00 per player* *minimum contribution to the charity Commented Jeremy Phillips, Tournament Event Organizer, “This is a great course to play, having been acclaimed by the Golf Digest and the cause that this represents is terrific. We would encourage those living in or around the Palm Beach area to take some time out from their normal routine, meet and socialize with other business people and support this great charity. Various competitions will be featured during the round, including team competition, nearest the hole and longest drive.” He added, “If you are interested in playing; perhaps bringing some of your colleagues, prospects or clients, simply go to http://orf2011.com/ The Ken Locklear Memorial Golf Tournament has been arranged by Wound Care Education Partners, who are hosting a 3 day Conference & Expo at The Ritz-Carlton, Manalapan on The Science of Wound Care, Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine.
