He does not believe that it is neccessary for every atheist person to accept the exact same principles to be able to get along, but he does think they should form a stronger bond to accomplish similar goals that they can all strive for. If the message seems a little harsh at times, it clears up the perceptions that may be taken incorrectly by the use of stories and anecdotes that provide the basis for the agrument very effectively.
You will definitely enjoy the poem that bookends the book. It is an inspiring, diametrically written message for the entire community of freethinkers to embrace and commit to memory like the psalms and hymns of the religious set --- only rational instead.
