Follow on Google News | Cape Fox Government Services Wins Army Traffic Safety Training Program Recompete ContractCape Fox Government Services will continue providing comprehensive vehicular safety training to soldiers worldwide for an important and lifesaving military contract.
The ATSTP was implemented to address concerns of an alarming increase in off-duty motorcycle and vehicle traffic fatalities. Since 2006 Cape Fox Government Services has successfully trained nearly 800,000 Army personnel – resulting in a downward trend in accidental fatalities. Cape Fox Government Services is providing the ATSTP at 64 Army installations across the globe. The program’s goal is to significantly reduce fatalities, injuries, and time away from work due to avoidable traffic and recreational accidents, either in privately-owned vehicles (POV) or government motor vehicles. The ATSTP’s comprehensive behavioral modification combats aggressive driving in identified, high-risk vehicle operators. Training involves classroom and hands-on instruction, and includes four motorcycle training courses and two POV safety courses. In addition to traditional training methods, Cape Fox Government Services has developed and implemented innovative operational concepts to meet field requirements. Cape Fox Government Services is proud to be once again selected by the Army to continue delivering the ATSTP program. “As a team, we understand the importance of this training. The end product is an accident prevented, a life saved, a family preserved,” said Joe Blackburn, Cape Fox Government Services CEO. “Ultimately, the ATSTP contributes to protecting our soldiers, and maintaining the operational readiness of an Army at war.” Formed in 2003, Cape Fox Government Services is an Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) 8(a) certified subsidiary of Cape Fox Corporation. Headquartered in Daleville, Alabama, Cape Fox Government Services is a global provider of technology-driven training and safety programs, IT services, and base operations support services for federal and military customers.
