Callahan, president of the Windy City Chapter of Federally Employed Women, has been awarded a full scholarship to Grantham University.
By: Grantham University/Johanna Altland “Adrianne is such a worthy candidate,” said Ms. Dawn Nester, president of the FEW Foundation for Education and Training. “Her devotion to FEW and her Chapter is proof she will make the most of this opportunity. We know that in today’s environment, it is difficult for many to afford everything they need for college – from tuition to textbooks to software and other fees. The Foundation is thrilled to partner with Grantham University so that a deserving woman can live her college dream.” Ms. Callahan has long been a leader in her FEW Chapter. She has mentored, advised and helped train new Chapter members and officers and is committed to continually supporting and enhancing the vitality of the Windy City Chapter’s programs and activities. At Grantham University, Ms. Callahan plans to pursue a Master of Business Administration degree which will supplement her career development as a small business specialist for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and further support her career goal of obtaining a senior level position within the federal government. “Part of our mission at Grantham University is to support non-traditional students as they work to advance their careers through education and training,” said Dr. Fred Snow, president of Grantham University. “The Foundation’s initiatives are closely aligned with ours as we look for ways to provide education that is accessible and affordable for all students, particularly those whose lives require a flexible university setting.” Grantham University’s accredited online degree programs are flexible and portable, allowing students to fit education into their life instead of arranging life around their education. The University offers a variety of associate, bachelor and master’s online degrees in areas such as Business Administration, Business Intelligence, Business Management, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, Engineering Technology, Health Sciences, Human Resource Management, Information Systems Security, and Medical Coding and Billing.
